I cheated!!

There was no way I could manipulate my figure into a vessel, so I cheated and put him on to a background using some of the left over fabric.
I stitched and painted this and then formed it into a vase.
I couldn't resist adding the strange flower.
He looks just like a bloke who has bought flowers for his missus and has been spotted by his mates.

Last of the instructions
The last lot of instructions is to fold, tuck, bend, squeeze and mold your piece into a three-dimensional vessel or vase, I found this darn difficult and I knew what was coming! If those that finish could bring the "work of art" on Thursday to Ledbury and I know Lesley cannot make it so please post it on the web when you have finished. Sylvia and myself are bringing wool tops and felted wool to the next session to make wool jewellery,if you have any please bring it and have a look at Jo`s blog as she has a whole worksheet on making flower brooches.

stage four.
Well Ann`s doll is much better than the finished item, but here goes the next step is to embellish the material using hand stitching beads wire etc.I thought her idea of political pincushions was great so I amused my self by making some,Mandelson is going to be my favourite for sticking pins in, and Colin Firth is NOT for pins but for me to drool over much to my Granddaughters disgust.

Better late than never!
Hi there I have been working away but life has been so hectic that I simply have not had time to download/post the photos. Here is my piece so far -I started with some hand dyed fabric and stamped it with discharge paste using an old lino cut block from C&G days. Next I sponged on some copper paint through a stencilled grid and finally added some pinky lines using metallic paint and an old CD. The piece is quilted using lines of embroidery stitches and some free motion quilting. I don't have access to a heat tool so could not be too adventurous though think cutting it up sounds quite adventurous enough for me!
Apologies now that I will not be able to make the next meeting as I will be away on holiday.

Third lot of instructions.
After you have quilted your fabric you need to cut it into at least 6 seperate pieces. You can be as creative as you like by cutting out circles, waves shapes, etc. After they have been cut reassemble them into a new shape one which is NOT rectangular and then stitch it back together with a backing fabric behind it.

Instructions 2
Well done to Anne and Cheryl for making it so far, I was beginning to think it was going to be just me.The next instruction is to quilt the fabric using batting or felt and a lining using various threads, if you want to you can have a top layer of organza and after quilting use a heat tool to distress it.Easy isn`t it.
